This week's guest is Michael André Ford, an American Angel Intuitive who helps people meet, hear and see angels.
I'll be honest: This conversation took me way out of my comfort zone. When I started this podcast, I committed myself to breaking open the range of topics we could discuss in a business context. I never expected that to include talking with angels!
Michael is a highly compelling guest with scintillating tales of encounters with angels of all kinds.
If you want to expand your notion of how this realm might operate and what's really going on in the fifth dimension, this is the episode for you.
We discuss:
- Michael's first wild angel encounter
- The power of less thinking
- Meeting angels at the coffee shop

Stepping Away from 12-Step

Joining a 12-step group over 16 years ago was one of the best decisions I ever made. The love emanating from those groups helped to heal, find stability and started me on a path to recovery from multiple addictions. However, there is a significant blind-spot in the worldview originally put forth by the famous Bill Wilson and Dr Bob. Despite the power of being a part of that extraordinary moveme...

Just curious. The 12-step program of AA "saved your life" but now you've stopped going because you feel like you've cured yourself. What would be the harm of doing the therapy and going to meetings? I do both and it's been such a great experience. Also, I still maintain all those great relationships you spoke of.

"I didnt wake up, I came to......" Well done brother. Same experience. Blind faith in AA. 2020 they closed the doors for Covid. They put personality over principles. Haven't been back since. It's all Trauma. And although I haven't healed all the Trauma, I know I can because I see others doing it. Tim Fletcher has a RE/ACT program and LIFT training course to address and treat the cause of it all. Trauma. I asked for help for years now for my CPTSD. I get ignored. The STIGMA of alcoholism and addiction. Nobody believes me it was Trauma. They think I'm just an addict. BRAVO!

John Bradshaw’s books are amazing. I highly recommend ‘Healing the shame that binds us’. Truly life-changing. Would you mind sharing the name of the therapist you mentioned please? 😊 I agree we can reduce emotional pain, but the brain has actually changed from addiction. It’s become “primed” so to speak, to go back to drinking without limit. It’s very dangerous to think you can drink safely again. People usually end up being unable to control their intake again, sooner or later.

I have a question. Distilled water is pure and free of impurities and doesn't conduct electricity at all. An electrolyte always has to be added to pass a charge. So how can this structured water have a charge at all? What is carrying the charge? Pure water doesn't conduct electricity. There is a large gap in our understanding here. 🙏

There is a reason I inch my way into a swimming pool. I am protecting my body from shock. So it’s a health thing for me. My father had a friend many years ago who on a very hot summer day went from driving in a hot car with no air conditioning down to a reservoir, he jumped in and was found floating moments later in the water face down. The freezing cold water suddenly coming into contact with the temperature of his body caused him to have a heart attack. He couldn’t be resuscitated. So this is why I acclimatise to the water before I go swimming. People do the same thing before entering a bath tub to bath. My husband used to say to me let’s get the important things done and out of the way and don’t procrastinate. So I totally agree that we shouldn’t put the things that we hate doing last on our list. I myself like to tackle the uncomfortable things first.

Nice discussion. Thanks. 🙂 As a German I have seen a book of him some years ago in the bookstore, but I ignored it, because I did not have the intention to buy something philosophical. So, actually I was not really aware of Byung-Chul Han until I read a book by Reinhard Stelter ("The art of dialogue in coaching") who refers to Byung-Chul Han's "Burnout-Society". I started reading his books last year in May. In the meanwhile I have 6 or 7 of his books in my shelf. Amazed by his excellent observations and writing style. Indeed he describes many of my impressions and thoughts, when I travelled around and compared different cultures and societies, in very clear words. For example what you mention at the timestamp 44:22 ... one of my thoughts was: we like to pay our tribute to insurances to get rid off responsibility for each other, while other societies (e.g. in Southeast Asia) that we might call "less developed" rely on mutual aid. Question is: are we really that much more developed or is it rather a sign for the beginning of a decline? --- best regards.

also interesting: I can find a dozen articles in German newspapers. But, not too much. I did not find German youtubers who discuss this author. In my opinion he deserves much more publicity... offering so many good insights.

I love how Pete utilises the psychoanalytic ideas of Freud and Jung into his ideas of healing (e.g., repression-catharsis, the outer-critic explained by projection, and perfectionism explaining both the inner- and outer-critic). Modern psychology has trended too far towards measurable perception - behaviourism and cognitive therapy. But until people realise things like the subconscious awareness that things they say and do are actually internalisations of people who abused them while young - insight is never reached. Without that insight, there is no idea or motivation to reparent oneself. And realise the journey will be long one. Just like changing any other habit you learnt, or personality trait you developed, as a kid.

Sounds like just another neglect. In theory you become whole and full naturally. If you artificially "letting it go" you effectively repell it. If your inner child become safe and happy one may eventually stop noticing it cause the energy of that part of one's soul at last integrated in the whole ocean of being. As i understand the wish of letting go the inner child comes from irritated inner adult or even inner teenager. Who wants to live and act without bothering. But it can't work. And not more because of inner child. It looks like the body itself is another player in the game. That 3 lvl system, multivagal or what. It looks very mechanical. And the way to release the broken energy flow is to appeal to inner child. That what i feel.

My biggest self-healing journey started with encounter group as well. And I'm so interested about how you managed not to mention Carl Rogers. And somehow missed an elephant in the room - the biggest thing for anyone is to find great encounter group. And for it to be great the only thing needed one facilitator understanding the Thing.

How can we possibly find a polyvagal counselor who will treat us with respect, really listen and truly apply the polyvagal technique? I find, when therapists have a long list of many specialties, they cease to be specialties.
